Description

The IPMED study (Integrated Patient Monitoring in the Emergency Department) has acquired bedside vital-sign data from over 10,000 patients within the emergency department of the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust. The aim of this project was to demonstrate that probabilistic methods for performing time-series analysis can provide early warning of serious physiological deterioration within this very large cohort of acute patients.
