Office Manager and PA to the Professor of Turbomachinery

We are looking for an experienced, self-motivated Personal Assistant to provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to the Professor of Turbomachinery. This is a pivotal position at the hub of the Oxford Thermofluids Institute. Working in an exciting, dynamic research environment you will be expected to co-ordinate the academic research, leadership and administrative responsibilities of the Professor of Turbomachinery.

You will need a good level of initiative, independent decision-making as well as the ability to communicate effectively at all levels. You will be responsible for the administrative arrangements in Professor Ireland’s office such as dealing with his diary, first-line queries and visitors. You will also be responsible for providing administrative support to the wider Oxford Thermofluids Institute.

You will have previous experience of managing the office of a senior member of staff, involving complex diary management. You should have with excellent computer skills and attention to detail.
