We are seeking a proactive Internal Communications Manager, and PA to the Head of Finance & Administration to join the Department of Engineering Science. This role combines the responsibility for developing and implementing the Department’s communications strategy and the provision of high-level office administration and clerical support. This is a fixed term maternity cover post to the 31st July 2022.

 

The post encompasses the following three key areas of responsibility: communications duties (70%), personal assistant duties (20%), administrative & projects duties (10%). The percentages should be taken as a guide only and can be expected to flex as priorities change.

 

As the Department’s Internal Communications Manager, the post-holder will be responsible for developing and implementing the Department’s communications strategy in order to strengthen information-sharing, such that a greater sense of community is built within the department and to raise awareness of the Department’s strategic aims and its achievements.

 

You should have previous experience in a communications role, notably experience of working with a content management system, and writing for the web. You should also have considerable previous PA experience at a senior level or similar with experience of managing a busy inbox and complicated diary
