Biography
Luc graduated from ENSTA ParisTech, while studying civil engineering for his MSc at Ecole des Ponts Paristech, and spending a semester at TU Delft.
He started his DPhil, funded by Ørsted, in Oct 2018 on constitutive modelling of sand under cyclic loading. He is part of the REMS CDT.
Research Interests
Luc is interested in contributing to better design monopile foundation of offshore wind turbines as part of the PICASO project. The focus of the DPhil is on the modelling of saturated sand, this implies:
- Investigating the mechanical behaviour of sand under monotonic & cyclic loading, with or without preloading.
- Constitutive modelling of sand in effective stress.
- Finite element implementation of constitutive models.
