Mateusz Portka MScEng, BScEng

DPhil Student

Biography

Mateusz is a DPhil in Engineering Science student at the University of Oxford. He is researching deployable, motion and origami structures for space applications with Special Structures Group. He received the Engineering Science EPSRC DTP Studentship in aerospace engineering and is a graduate member of Magdalen College.

Before coming to Oxford in 2017, Mateusz had received BScEng (2014) and MScEng (2016) degrees in Civil Engineering Structures, both awarded by the Warsaw University of Technology with distinctions. Mateusz also has more than four years of experience in civil and structural engineering design in Warsaw.
