Dr Paolo Adami is the technical lead at Rolls Royce, for the team that develops state of the art Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software used in aerothermal design of all turbomachinery used at Rolls Royce. In addition, he is also a University Research Lecturer within the Oxford Thermofluids Institute. Dr. Adami’s research has played a major part in the development of software algorithms for modelling the dynamics of complex mechanical components. Prior to joining Rolls Royce, he was a senior lecturer in the Engineering Department of Florence University.
Since 2015, Dr. Adami has taken over leadership of the development of CFD methods in the Rolls Royce University Technology Centre at the Oxford Thermofluids Institute. He directly supervises a number of students and postdoctoral researchers.
