Rasheed studied the MEng Engineering Science degree at Oxford, graduating from Keble College in 2015. His final-year research project was in biomedical engineering and involved using signal processing techniques to assess the relationship between blood pressure and cerebral blood-flow. Rasheed went on to work for Jaguar Land Rover for two years, designing automated production facilities, before joining CHI Lab for his DPhil.
Rasheed was awarded an EPSRC Doctoral Training Award as part of the UK's high-priority "industrial strategy" funding stream, where his research interests address the key funding areas of "leading-edge healthcare", "robotics and AI", and "transformative digital technologies".
Rasheed's work focuses on the development of machine learning technologies for improving the management of patients in hospital settings, and is co-supervised by Dr. Tingting Zhu. Rasheed is a member of Worcester College.
