Biography

Dr. Vikram Sridhar is a Senior Research Associate in Turbomachinery, Bearing Development and High-Speed Test Facilities at the Oxford Thermo-Fluids Institute. He completed his PhD (2014) in Aerospace Engineering at the University of New South Wales, Australia, focusing on unsteady supersonic aerodynamics of cavities in fighter aircraft.

At Oxford he manages several research projects related to heat transfer, aerodynamics and bearing development on the high speed spin facilities. His other research at Oxford includes development of sensors and algorithms for: oil condition monitoring in jet engines, turbomachinery blade vibration through tip-timing and tip clearance and other applications such as detection of cancer and fake pharmaceutical drugs.
