NetDRIVE Community Survey

The Network for sustainable Digital Research Infrastructure Vision and Expertise (NetDRIVE) is building a Network of Experts to provide UKRI and the community with the advise it needs to achieve net zero DRI by 2040 or sooner. Our vision for the Network of Experts is founded on inclusivity.

As well as spanning protected characteristics, we also seek representation from across research disciplines and councils, career stages, enthusiasts and critical thinkers, those who provide and engage in research computing but also those who look at how research computing impacts our research culture and how the necessary transformational change can be galvanised.

Are you enthusiastic about the potential for science and technology to solve our problems, or do you look to the creative power of the human spirit to lead us forward? Perhaps both or neither? We welcome all views.

This is your opportunity to help shape the future direction of NetDRIVE so that it effectively serves the community and UKRI going forwards.

The four main themes are:

  • Green Software Engineering
  • Systemic Change
  • Machine Room and Hardware
  • Galvanising Individual Action

You can find more details on each of the themes here.

Access the survey at the link below. Survey closes 8am Monday 30th September 2024.

Once the survey has closed, please contact admin@ncas.ac.uk if you are interested in helping us shape the future direction of NetDRIVE, or if you would like to join our mail list to be kept updated.
