About the EPIONE project for patients

For patients

EPIONE is a project dedicated for finding new treatments for chronic pain. The research is primarily at the 'engineering end' of the research process. That is, we are primarily involved in the design and build of new technologies. This means that although we work with doctors and medical health professionals, we are not directly involved in treating people with chronic pain, and unfortunately we cannot offer any advice or clinical support for people themselves living with pain. From time to time, we may issue a call for people with lived experience of pain to provide advice or insight into the research process. If you are struggling with pain yourself, our advice would always be to speak to your NHS medical team (for example your GP, pharmacist or other healthcare provider).
