Knowledge Exchange with HKU

On 1 April 2025, our group and colleagues from the University of Hong Kong (HKU) held a knowledge exchange meeting, focusing on shared interests in artificial intelligence (AI) applications for healthcare. The session provided an excellent opportunity to present our latest research projects, showcasing recent developments in AI-guided treatment, patient care optimisation, and clinical decision support systems. Feedback from the HKU team was constructive, offering valuable insights and identifying promising avenues for future collaboration.

In turn, researchers from HKU presented their innovative work, emphasising their strengths in machine learning techniques and practical healthcare implementations. Their presentations provided valuable insights into the differences between clinical settings in the UK and Hong Kong, helping us better understand the unique challenges and opportunities in implementing healthcare AI solutions. This exchange significantly enriched our understanding, fostering mutual learning and enhancing our ability to develop effective AI approaches tailored to diverse healthcare environments. The meeting was highly successful, strengthening academic ties and paving the way for future joint research initiatives.
