Welcome to Our New Members in Oct 2025

On 6 October 2025, we are pleased to welcome new members to join our group.

Noura Aqeeli completed her Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Edinburgh in 2025. Her work centres on applying graph neural networks and large language models (LLMs) to healthcare data, aiming to model complex biomedical relationships and improve data-driven insights.

Zi Cai, who earned his Master’s degree in Engineering from the University of Cambridge in 2025, focuses on healthcare data mining and medical retrieval-augmented generation. His research explores multimodal AI techniques for integrating diverse medical data to support clinical decision-making and knowledge discovery.

Zhikang Chen joins us after completing his Master’s degree in Electronic and Communication Engineering at Tsinghua University in 2025. His research covers both small- and large-scale machine learning models, with interests in continual learning, out-of-distribution generalisation, federated learning, and multimodal LLMs.

Proshanto Chanda graduated with a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Oxford in 2025. His research focuses on developing multimodal methods that combine fundus photographs with electronic health records to enhance diagnostic accuracy for cardiovascular conditions. While primarily based in the Multimodal Medical Data Integration & Analysis Lab, Proshanto works closely with our group.

Mobing Cai, currently a fourth-year student working towards a Master's Degree in Engineering Science at Oxford, focuses on applying AI techniques to physiological signals for healthcare prediction and interpretation. Her research aims to explore deep learning phenotyping and risk prediction of cardiovascular disease using wearables.

We are delighted to have Noura, Zi, Zhikang, Proshanto, and Mobing join our team, and we look forward to their contributions to the group’s growing research portfolio.
