Angle of Arrival

Outdoor-Indoor Propagation at 2 GHz AoA Identification
This page illustrates the results from an AoA measurement with the transmitter located at Tx2 (see diagram below). The left plot shows a plot of El. vs. Az as a function of delay i.e. we can identify multipath angles of arrival with time. A sample impulse response with a cursor is also shown to illustrate that (surprisingly) the main path at approx 275 ns arrives at 330 degrees. There is a large degree of reverberation between the Thom and Nuclear Physics buildings.

These results were obtained using the farfield 2D-FFT technique. Illustrations of indoor imaging using nearfield methods can be found at Indoor Imaging.
