Laboratory for In-situ Microscopy and Analysis
LIMA is a unique facility comprising state of the art characterisation equipment allowing simultaneous investigation of the structure-property-composition relationship in materials systems at different length scales. Since LIMA was established back in 2012 by Dr Kalin Dragnevski, the Facility has significantly expanded and now spans across a number of Labs which include an Advanced Microscopy Suite, complemented by a fully equipped Specimen Preparation Area and Mechanical Testing Service.
Equipment
The instruments are available to all researchers throughout the University and any external users that would benefit from the use of our facility and expertise.
