Knowledge Exchange with SEU

On 28 July 2025, our group welcomed visiting scholars from Southeast University (SEU) for a productive knowledge exchange session, continuing our commitment to fostering international collaboration in healthcare research. Lecturer Lulu Zhao delivered an insightful presentation on her group’s current work in early screening for adolescent depression, addressing this critical public health issue. She also introduced their innovative research on the use of music therapy to support patients with depression, providing new perspectives on treatment approaches.

The session continued with a presentation by DPhil student Minghui Zhao, who shared his research on multimodal diagnosis of Alzheimer’s Disease. His approach, which leverages multiple data sources, offers a more efficient and cost-effective alternative to traditional diagnostic methods. These presentations were followed by lively discussions, with participants exchanging ideas on the latest developments in mental health screening, diagnosis, and treatment, particularly the use of wearable devices in clinical research.

This event deepened our understanding of the diverse approaches to mental health challenges and reinforced the value of interdisciplinary collaboration.
