Eve Schooler appointed RAEng Visiting Professor

We are excited to welcome Dr. Eve Schooler to the department as a Royal Academy of Engineering Visiting Professor of Sustainable Computing. The program sponsorship by the Royal Academy of Engineering aims to foster academia-industry partnership and is a 3-year appointment. She previously was Director and Principal Engineer of Emerging IoT Networks at Intel, and prior to Intel she held positions at AT&T Labs-Research, USC's Information Sciences Institute, Apollo Computers (acquired by Hewlett-Packard) and Pollere.

In her role as visiting professor, Eve's primary goal will be to embed sustainability into the computer engineering curriculum, with the additional goals at Oxford to use the updated curriculum to increase diversity in computing-related disciplines and to contribute to cross-disciplinary strategies regarding computing and climate action.
