Systems Engineering
Our group is interested in developing and applying systems engineering tools to support decisions in engineering and the wider world. With concepts and approaches rooted in process systems engineering, computer science, industrial ecology and complexity science, we have been working on computer-based decision support, multiscale modelling, rational utilisation of renewable resources, and design of sustainable energy and production systems. The topics of our recent and on-going research include ammonia-based energy storage, food-energy-water nexus, engineering with microbial communities, atmospheric CO2 removal, and organic resources valorisation.
