Ruhan Mannan Completes UNIQ+ Project with AI4DH

On 21 August 2025, our intern student Ruhan Mannan, a second-year undergraduate at Imperial College London, completed his UNIQ+ summer research project titled Using Dynamic Deep Learning for Competing Risk Prediction in Intensive Care with Electronic Health Records. His project explored how deep learning methods can be applied to survival analysis in the ICU, extending beyond single-risk prediction to model multiple competing risks and provide clinicians with more precise insights into patient trajectories.

Ruhan presented his work at the UNIQ+ Conference, sharing his findings with peers and faculty. We thank Ruhan for his excellent contribution during the summer and wish him every success in his future studies.
