Global Health - Summer Projects

Lmics

In 2021, the Computational Health Informatics (CHI) Lab at the University of Oxford offers Global Health Summer Projects - a 12-week programme for early-career researchers to work on real-world global health issues using needs-led innovation processes to deliver positive social impact.  During the programme, Summer Research Associates will explore applications of machine learning and artificial intelligence to address some of the most pressing clinical needs in limited-resource settings in low-and-middle-income countries (LMICs). These Summer RAs have the opportunity to gain a deep understanding of the unique challenges related to LMICs healthcare settings by collaborating directly with our partners in Kenya, Vietnam, South Africa, and India.

This programme offers paid positions, where a strong coding experience is a prerequisite, preferable with Python or Matlab experience. Starting dates are flexible from May 2021.  Please contact Dr. Heloise Greeff (heloise.greeff@eng.ox.ac.uk) for details.
