Description

The Department of Engineering Science is seeking an IT Project Manager to lead the successful planning, execution, and delivery of a broad range of technology projects. Reporting to the Head of IT, this role is central to delivering digital solutions that enable world-class research, teaching, and collaboration.

As IT Project Manager, you will take ownership of projects from conception through to completion, ensuring that deliverables meet strategic objectives, quality standards, and user needs. You will manage multiple concurrent workstreams, facilitating Scrum ceremonies and empowering teams to deliver effective, scalable outcomes. Acting as both coach and leader, you will champion best practices and help fully embed the scrum methodology.

You will anticipate and manage risks, maintain robust documentation, and drive continuous improvement in project delivery. Your ability to coordinate diverse teams, balance competing priorities, and foster a collaborative environment will be key to your success.

We are looking for an adaptable and strategic professional with a passion for delivering meaningful technological change. You will be an organised and analytical thinker, capable of seeing the bigger picture while paying attention to detail. As an influential communicator, you will build trust across academic, administrative, and technical teams, encouraging innovation and teamwork.

This role is for someone who thrives on change, embraces new ideas and technologies, and wants to make a difference.
