Description

We are seeking an Installation and Maintenance Electrician/Deputy Maintenance Manager to join the Department of Engineering Science.  
 
About The Role
The role provides both an electrical technician function with that of Deputy Maintenance Team Manager, reporting to the Maintenance Team Manager. When deputising for the maintenance team manager the role you will:
 
•   Take the lead role with no immediate supervision for all reactive and planned preventive maintenance and project work within the Department of Engineering Science in the Maintenance Manager’s absence
•   Supervise technical personnel and contractors to ensure a safe, efficient, productive work environment 
 
You will be responsible for electrical installation work within the Keble Triangle buildings along with both planned and reactive electrical maintenance work.
 
About You
You should hold a relevant formal qualification, such as HNC, BTEC, NVQ level three, City and Guilds award (for example 2391-52) or equivalent in an appropriate subject (e.g. electrical engineering). You will hold your 18th Edition certificate in IEE Wiring Regulation for Electrical Installation and have practical experience of installation work, fault finding and testing.
