About the roleWe are seeking a full-time Departmental Lecturer in Engineering with Entrepreneurship teaching who will be based in Central Oxford (OX1 3PJ). The post is fixed term for 4 years to support the delivery of the Engineering, Entrepreneurship and Management (EEM) Pathway within the Department of Engineering Science.
About you
The post holder will be expected to make a substantial contribution to the teaching of the EEM pathway, including delivering and examining lecture courses, as well as other teaching activities, contributing to curriculum development, and supporting project supervision. The role will also involve contributing to the securing and monitoring of internships. Graduate teaching responsibilities may include the co-supervision of master’s and doctoral students. Candidates should hold a relevant PhD, with post-qualification research experience in Engineering and/or Entrepreneurship related to the field of Engineering. Candidates will have an aptitude for teaching and demonstrable experience of supervision of masters and doctoral students, and the ability to supervise research assistants. They may also have experience of contribution to writing proposals and obtaining research grants.
