The role
The department is seeking to appoint an Asset Manager, this is a new role within the department, that will allow the appointee to shape and define the role within the department. Working closely with teams across the department you will help to implement and then manage a new asset and space management system. This role offers variety and visibility within the department to make a lasting impact.

Reporting to the General Facilities Manager within the Facilities Management Team, you will play a key role in modernising how the department manages its space and assets.
The Department occupies 20 buildings within the city and surrounding areas. This role will be based at the Thom building on Parks Road site in the city centre. In this role you will be required to visit all departmental buildings to build relationships with key people and understand the individual building requirements and ensure these are incorporated into the new asset and space management system.

About the team
The Facilities team consists of a General Facilities Manager, an Assistant Facilities Manager, an Administrator, 2 receptionists and a janitor, the team are based in an office in the Thom building and operate across all the departmental buildings.
