Description
We are seeking two full-time Postdoctoral Research Assistants in AI for Healthcare to join the AI for Digital Health (AI4DH) Laboratory at the Department of Engineering Science, Institute of Biomedical Engineering (Headington, Oxford). The positions are funded by the NIHR and are fixed-term for 12 months, with the possibility of an extension, subject to funding.The roles will focus on identifying and discovering patient sub-cohorts within an electronic health record database. This discovery process will take place via the design of deep clustering algorithms based on state-of-the-art algorithms. You will work under the overall supervision of Prof Tingting Zhu, Royal Academy of Engineering Research Fellow of the Institute of Biomedical Engineering (IBME) within the Department of Engineering Science, in collaboration with Professor Rafael Perera-Salazar (Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences, University of Oxford).
You should possess a relevant PhD (or near completion*) in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or conjugate subject and have a strong record of publication in the relevant literature. Good knowledge of machine learning algorithms is essential, as well as proven competence in programming methods in Python or similar languages, and evidence of working well as part of a multidisciplinary research team.
