To celebrate International Women in Engineering Day 2022, we are inviting female* sixth form students to Oxford to learn about the subject of Engineering Science. This event will take place from 09:30-16:00, Thursday 23 June at the Department of Engineering Science, Thom Building.
On the day you will get the opportunity to explore a subject not usually taught at schools through various activities, such as:
- Hearing about current research and cutting-edge engineering solutions from some of our active female engineering researchers
- Taking part in a hands-on engineering workshop
- Speaking to leading engineer Dr Anita Sengupta in an exclusive Q&A session before she gives this year’s Maurice Lubbock Memorial Lecture
You will then be able to join the main department’s celebratory high tea event and interact with our Women in Engineering network to round off the day’s activities.
Students will also get the opportunity to visit an Oxford College and take part in the “My Skills, My Life” future careers workshop.
