This is an exciting opportunity to join the Department of Engineering Science to lead the building management functions and to play a key role in major building developments.

Over the next 10 years, the department will be involved in a series of major projects which will determine the accommodation it occupies for the next 25+ years. Working with the University's Estates Services as a key departmental representative, you will build the case for each project, identify the department's needs, direct detailed design and manage handover. You will work closely with senior staff and lead and support project groups.

In addition, you will manage buildings and facilities functions on the department's central site and support refurbishment projects, delivering high standards of service and customer satisfaction.

You should have extensive experience in capital projects and relevant qualifications in a buildings discipline. You should be able to contribute to strategic plans while fully mastering detailed building designs and interpreting these for the department.
