We are seeking a full-time Postdoctoral Research Assistant to join the Oxford Communications Research Group at the Department of Engineering Science (central Oxford). The post is funded by the John Fell Fund and is fixed-term to the 31st August 2021 with a potential further extension.

The purpose of this project is to develop a new method of performing molecular communication where drift is induced by an electric field rather than by relying on the movement of the fluid medium. The underlying technology that will be researched relates to Oxford-owned IP that is currently in the early stages of development.

You should possess a PhD/DPhil (or be near completion), together with relevant experience; you will need a proven research track record in communication/information theory, preferably with experience of molecular communication systems. You will have the ability to manage your own research and associated activities, and you will have excellent communication skills, including the ability to write for publication.
