Research Assistant in Clinical Trial Design and Data Analysis


Grade 6: £29,614 - £35,326 per annum

We are seeking a Research Assistant to assist in the design and coordination of a clinical trial of microencapsulated oxygen as a means of alleviating breathing difficulties in patients being assessed for long term oxygen therapy. The trial is part of a collaboration between the Department of Engineering Science, Nuffield Department of Medicine and Nuffield Department of Surgery. The work will take place on the Old Road Campus (Headington). The post is funded by a philanthropic donation to the University and is fixed-term for up to 24 months on a variable hours basis (2 days per week).


You should possess a relevant first degree in engineering or affiliated subject and have experience of interdisciplinary working in medical engineering and innovation. You should have experience of testing of new medical products and working with a clinical team. Good oral and written communication skills are essential.
