Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Conjugate Heat Transfer

We are seeking a postdoctoral research assistant to join Professor Li He's research group at the Department of Engineering Science (based in Oxford Thermofluids Institute, Southwell Building). The post is funded by EPSRC and is fixed-term until 30th November 2022.


The project will involve analyses of unsteady fluid-solid coupled conjugate heat transfer computations for heat transfer management. You will be responsible for scoping studies, verification/validation of the coupled modelling and method, analysing/understanding the underlining CHT aerothermal physics and scoping configurations. 


You should possess a PhD (or be near completion) with substantial experience in computational fluid dynamics development in general, and in fluid-solid coupled conjugate heat transfer in particular. Good organizational skills and the ability to communicate scientific ideas to an expert audience are also required.
