Research Assistant in Decarbonisation of Shipping Via Green Ammonia

We are seeking a full-time Research Assistant to join the OXGATE research group at the Department of Engineering Science (Osney).  The post is funded by NERC and is fixed-term to 31/08/202.


The project will explore optimal pathways to decarbonise shipping via green ammonia accounting for ammonia supply, shipping routes, port infrastructure, and enabling policies. You will be responsible for managing large datasets, developing and operating Python code and working with MILP optimisation solvers. You will also be assisting in the integration of the four project strands. You will require an undergraduate and MSc-level degrees in engineering or related subject together with proven experience in Python programming, data analysis, and energy systems. The ability to manage projects with excellent interpersonal skills
