Description
Are you a pro-active and enthusiastic individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment? We are looking for a Robotics Safety and Field Trials Manager to support research in the Oxford Robotics Institute, Department of Engineering Science in central Oxford. This vacancy is externally funded and is fixed term for 1 year in the first instance.
A key aspect of this role is organising practical activities and trials on behalf of the Oxford Robotics Institute. Working alongside the group's academics, engineering and admin teams as well as researchers, you will be responsible for planning field trials, visits and research demonstrations
Your tasks will be varied and include; devising logistical plans, being point-of-contact for activities, organising insurance, completing risk assessments, being an active member of the trial team, and being the safety lead as necessary.
You must have proven experience of planning and scheduling to ensure complex activities are coordinated as well as experience of supporting or coordinating practical projects or activities. Previous experience or an awareness of Health & Safety to maintain a safe working environment.
