Description
This is an exciting opportunity to join a world leading University in a key leadership role. Managing the Student Administration Team, and working closely with the Associate Head of Department for Teaching and the Director of Graduate Studies, you will be responsible for the whole student life cycle for 1400 undergraduate and postgraduate students, from outreach, to on-course support and alumni relations. This is a permanent post based in central Oxford.
The Student Administration Office, based in central Oxford is the focus for student lifecycle support in the Department of Engineering Science, ranging from access & outreach activity, through on-course administration, to supporting the department’s alumni community.
You will be responsible for the management of the Student Administration Team (10 staff) ensuring that all course administration, course management, policies and procedures, run smoothly and are continually updated and improved to increase student satisfaction.
The successful candidate will have experience of leading educational activities, projects and people in the Higher Education sector as well as excellent organisational, IT and interpersonal skills with an innovative approach to developing and improving processes and delivery. The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines is essential. You will have excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to develop collaborative working relationships with academic colleagues.
The postholder will be expected to spend the large majority of their working hours on site however there might be the option to work in a hybrid manner out of term time.
