Description
We are seeking a full time Postdoctoral Research Assistant to join the Battery Intelligence Lab at the Department of Engineering Science (central Oxford). The post is funded by Horizon Europe or the UKRI Horizon Europe Gaurantee and is fixed-term until 31st December 2026.
The successful candidate will be part of “DigiBatt” (Digital Solutions for Accelerated Battery Testing), an EU project on new approaches for battery development to extract more information from fewer tests, harnessing the latest advances in automation, data science, diagnostics, and modelling. You will develop battery models and new methods for performance and lifetime diagnostics/simulation and integrate these into frameworks for parameter estimation and design optimisation. You should possess a relevant PhD/DPhil, skills in battery models and software development, and have great time management and communications skills.
