Do you enjoy a challenge? Want to apply your knowledge and experience in electronics to a world leading University? We are currently seeking a full-time Electronics Technician to join the team at the Department of Engineering Science in Central Oxford. This is a permanent post.

 

This is a wide-ranging role in an electronic workshop with a focus on providing high quality electronic/electrical work and technical support to the Department. You will be responsible for developing and designing electronic equipment for research and teaching purposes. Advising as necessary, on the possibilities and limitations of equipment and or design. You will carry out fault diagnosis and repair of electronic equipment and will have the opportunity to be the lead contact within the Electronics Workshop for the “Formula Student” team.

 

You should have a qualification in an electronics related subject engineering with experience of designing and building electronic equipment. You will have experience in fault finding and repairing of electronic equipment, as well as a working knowledge of relevant health and safety procedures. An underfill at Grade 4 would also be considered.

 

There is the potential for hybrid working with this position.
