Description

We are seeking a full-time Postdoctoral Research Assistant to join the Biomedical Image Analysis Laboratory at the Institute of Biomedical Engineering, Department of Engineering Science (Headington). The post is funded by Novo Nordisk and is fixed-term for up to 30 October 2025.



You will be responsible for the design, development and testing for machine learning methodologies for the construction of three dimensional cardiac models from biomedical images, within a collaboration with other academic groups in the University and our industrial partner Novo Nordisk. You will also implement the developed methods in appropriately written and maintained programming code.



You should possess a relevant PhD/DPhil (or near completion), together with relevant experience in the research area, and have the ability to manage activities associated with academic research. This involves, in particular, the ability to manage the collaboration of a multidisciplinary team, and to present your work to different audiences.
