Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Group Manager to join the recently established Podium Institute of Sports Medicine & Technology at the Institute of Biomedical Engineering (IBME) in the Department of Engineering Science (Headington).  The Podium Institute is underpinned by a 10-year £25m collaboration agreement signed between Podium Analytics and the University in August 2021, and aims to produce world-leading science to monitor, analyse and prevent sport injury. The post is fixed-term until 30 September 2027.

 

About The Role

You will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative and financial support to the Programme Manager and academic members of the Podium Institute of Sports Medicine & Technology at the Institute of Biomedical Engineering (IBME).  You will report formally to the Podium Institute Programme Manager, while supporting the day-to-day operations of the Institute and the four Professors. You will have the opportunity to be involved in all administration across the institute, supporting research, organizing events, and liaising with external stakeholders.

 

About You

You should have experience of University administration or managing the office of a senior member of staff and providing excellent service, as well as diary management and organising complex meetings and travel arrangements.  You should also possess excellent administrative and organizational skills, with experience of working in a busy environment, and managing your own workload with independence and minimal instruction.  Excellent skills in office IT systems and Microsoft 365 applications, including email, word processing, databases are also essential, along with an ability to deal with changing office technologies.
