We are seeking a full-time HR Officer to join the Department of Engineering Science (central Oxford) on a fixed-term basis until 31 August 2020. This post is fixed-term to cover the secondment of the current postholder.
As part of a team of HR Officers you will provide a complete HR administrative service to the staff within the Department of Engineering Science, supporting the full employee life-cycle. There is a strong recruitment focus to the role but you will be expected to provide a range of generalist HR support, including visa applications, visitors, and advice on University processes. You will build effective working relationships with academics and other staff, performing and overseeing end to end processes such as the co-ordination of recruitment and managing absence. You must be able to manage a busy and varied workload and cope with changing priorities
You will be educated to at least A Level with previous HR experience. A CIPD qualification would be beneficial. Good team working, communication, and IT skills are vital. You must be well organised with good attention to detail and the ability to work on your own initiative.
