Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Computational Pathology

We are seeking a full-time Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Computational Pathology to join Professor Jens Rittscher’s research group at the Institute of Biomedical Engineering Science (Headington). The post is funded by NIHR Oxford Biomedical Research Centre and is fixed-term for 2 years (to 31 March 2022) with an option to extend.

The quantitative analysis of histology image data will play an increasingly important role in clinical research and diagnostic. You will be developing algorithms that make use of latest machine learning and computer vision techniques to analyse the cell and tissue morphology at different scales. You will be responsible for the identification of clinical needs, the development of novel analysis methodologies and the analysis of larger population studies.

You should hold a relevant PhD/DPhil and have experience in biomedical imaging, computer vision and machine learning.
