Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Magnetoinductive Metamaterials

We are seeking a full-time Postdoctoral Research Assistant to join Electromagnetic Metamaterials Group at the Department of Engineering Science (central Oxford) to work under supervision by Prof. Shamonina. The post is funded by philanthropy and is fixed-term for 12 months.

You will lead the development of experiments and of theoretical models within the topic of near field sensing using magnetoinductive waves in the presence of inhomogeneous media with potential applications for medical diagnostics.

You should possess a PhD (or be close to completion) in Electrical Engineering or Physics and have experience within the field of RF and microwaves electromagnetic metamaterials. You will be able to manage your own academic research and have a track record of scientific publication commensurate with experience. Excellent communication skills written and oral are essential.
