We are seeking a full-time Postdoctoral Research Assistant in AI for Autonomous Systems to join the GOALS research group at the Oxford Robotics Institute (Central Oxford). The post is funded by industry and is fixed term for 3 years.

We are looking for an individual who will drive our research in AI for autonomous systems, particularly mission planning under uncertainty for long-lived autonomous robots. In addition you will support research trials in and out of the lab. You will also be required to supervise and support students and collaborators, and engage with stakeholders.

You should hold a relevant PhD/DPhil (or be near completion) and possess sufficient specialist knowledge in decision making under uncertainty, probabilistic modelling, formal methods for robotics, control, learning or human-machine collaboration. Excellent communication skills are required, including the ability to write for publication, present research proposals and results, and represent the research group at meetings.
