We are seeking a full-time PDRA to join the Centre for Tissue Engineering and Bioprocessing at the Department of Engineering Science (Institute of Biomedical Engineering at Old Road Campus).  The post is funded Ivy Farm Technologies ( and fixed-term for two years.


The post holder will be responsible for performing lab experiments under the supervision of the PI, Prof Cathy Ye. You will be responsible for developing protocols and techniques to identify and recover target biomolecules form cell culture waste and supervising the technician in the lab, who is part of the team.


You should hold a PhD (or close to completion) in Biochemical Engineering, Biochemistry or related area, together with relevant experience in developing separation and purification processes of target biomolecules, for example, using membrane separation or chromatography and etc, in addition to experience in protein or extracellular vesicle characterisation and relevant molecular biology techniques.
