Description
We are seeking a full-time EPG Senior Research Manager to join the Energy and Power Group (EPG) at the Department of Engineering Science (Holywell House, Osney Mead). The post is fixed-term to 31 May 2025 in the first instance.
You will be responsible for the administration of a variety of projects. You will work with a variety of key stakeholders, external partners and other university staff. The focus of the role is on managing the operational activities linked to the research objectives of each project as well as helping to develop and sustain future research programmes. You will need to understand research funding arrangements and identify new funding opportunities for the group, produce costings for grant applications and support the writing and submission of applications. You will be responsible for the fiscal management including monitoring expenditure, preparing interim and final reports, and maintaining accurate and detailed plans and records.
You should be educated to degree level or equivalent. You must have experience of administration or project management in a complex organisation. Ability to work independently. Proven financial aptitude with the ability to produce financial reports is essential, as are strong communication and relationship building skills.
