Senior Experimental Coordinator in Impact and Shock Mechanics

Research Grade 8: £48,235 to £57,255 per annum

Description

We are seeking a full-time senior experimental coordinator to join the Impact and Shock Mechanics Group at the Department of Engineering Science (Begbroke Science Park). The post is funded by Rolls-Royce and is fixed-term for 5 years from the date of appointment. 

The post-holder will be the lead coordinator for industry-funded research projects, responsible for working with our external partners to plan, design, and execute bespoke experiments, and to analyse and interpret the results from these experiments, delivering reports on time and within budget. The post-holder will also help to ensure a healthy and vibrant research environment within Impact and Shock Mechanics, and have an opportunity to contribute towards teaching, research, and academic administration of the Group and Department. 

 

You should possess a relevant PhD/DPhil with extensive post-qualification research and management experience.
