Reception at no. 11 Downing Street marks anniversary of Oxford-Cambridge Growth Corridor

The reception brought together leaders from across science, technology, investment and industry to showcase innovation driving growth across the region.

Professor Constantin Coussios OBE FREng FMedSci, Statutory Chair of Biomedical Engineering, presented OrganOx's normothermic machine perfusion technology, which enables donor organs to be preserved and assessed outside the body, improving transplant outcomes.

The event highlighted the strength of the Oxford-Cambridge ecosystem - where research, spinouts, scale-ups and global partners work together to translate world-class ideas into real-world impact.
