TESCAN LYRA3 FEG-SEM

Near-field scanning optical microscopy (s-SNOM / nano-FTIR / AFM-IR)

Neaspec near-field scanning optical microscopy system enables nanoscale optical, chemical and mechanical characterisation well below the diffraction limit. It combines s-SNOM, nano-FTIR, photothermal AFM-IR and advanced AFM modes for hyperspectral imaging and local spectroscopy with nanometre-scale spatial resolution.

Capabilities

  • Scattering-type scanning near-field optical microscopy (s-SNOM)

  • Pseudoheterodyne (PsHet) imaging and point spectroscopy

  • nano-FTIR spectroscopy

  • Photothermal AFM-IR measurements

  • Widely tuneable mid-infrared excitation from approximately 550–7500 cm⁻¹

  • Hyperspectral nanoimaging with spatial resolution down to ~10 nm

  • Tip force microscopy (TFM) for nanoscale stiffness, adhesion, viscosity and energy-dissipation mapping

  • Kelvin probe force microscopy (KPFM)

  • Combined PsHet and KPFM imaging
