Meet the OXIMS team
OXIMS brings together postdoctoral researchers, DPhil students and undergraduate students who use the facility on a regular basis. It is a friendly and collaborative environment where users can interact with other researchers, exchange expertise and develop practical skills in advanced materials characterisation.
Professor Jin-Chong Tan
Academic Lead
Jin-Chong leads the academic direction of OXIMS and supports research in advanced materials characterisation, nanomechanics, microscopy and spectroscopy.

Dr Alfredo Zafra
Facility Manager
Alfredo manages the day-to-day operation and development of OXIMS and supports users with experimental planning, training, SEM/EBSD, XRD and in situ mechanical testing.
