In the climateprediction.net project we run large numbers of simulations of the climate on the computers of volunteer members of the public. Volunteer distributed computing enables a number of climate studies to be performed that cannot be performed through other means.
The results we get from these simulations enable various aspects of the changing climate to be studied, in particular the effects of our changing climate. Andy's primarily focus in the project is in incorporating new climate models into the project and on the infrastructure of the project. In addition, Andy has experience building new volunteer distributed computing projects for science.
