Biography
Dr Belquis Haider is a multidisciplinary engineer and researcher working across bioelectronics, sensing technologies, embedded systems, signal processing, and research software. She received her BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the American University in Cairo and an Erasmus Mundus MSc in Photonic Technologies from Aix-Marseille University and Tampere University. At the University of Cambridge, her doctoral research focused on bioelectronic interfaces and computational tools for long-term electrophysiological monitoring.
At the Brain Engineering Laboratory, University of Oxford, she leads the engineering development and integration of wearable technologies for sleep monitoring, combining sensing, electronics, software, and wearable form factors to create reliable, user-centred systems for real-world use. Her broader research focuses on integrating hardware, software, and data-driven methods to develop robust technologies for biomedical research and healthcare.
