Biography
Dr Debabrata Auddya obtained his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Mathematics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2024. He holds a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Durgapur, India, that he obtained in 2017. Dr. Auddya’s research revolves around topics such as computational biomechanics, finite elements, and multiphysics modeling of biological systems. Specifically, he uses his computational techniques to analyze complex biological functions, with a particular focus on the role of mechanics, transport phenomena, and tissue remodeling in those physiological and pathological processes. Dr. Auddya is currently working at the Podium Institute of Technology as a postdoctoral researcher. There, he analyzes periventricular white matter hyperintensities and multiphysics modeling of brain injuries caused by sports activities.
