Biography
Ishaan Vadgama is a doctoral student in Engineering Science at the Institute of Biomedical Engineering, University of Oxford, where he is supervised by Profs. Eleanor Stride OBE and Dario Carugo. His research focuses on developing rapid diagnostics for antimicrobial resistance using advanced imaging techniques, with the goal of reducing diagnostic time from the current gold standard of several days to under one hour. This work is supported by the EPSRC-funded ‘Beyond Antibiotics‘ programme grant. He holds an MEng in Engineering from the University of Cambridge.
